1. Acceptance and scope

These Website Terms of Use govern your ordinary access to and use of Tanner Christensen’s public website. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website. App use, privacy practices, and design-session purchases are addressed by the other documents in the Legal center.

2. Informational content

Portfolio pieces, articles, opinions, examples, and other website material are provided for general informational and expressive purposes. They are not professional legal, financial, medical, recruiting, employment-placement, or other regulated advice, and they are not a promise of any particular result. You remain responsible for your decisions and for obtaining appropriate professional advice.

3. Intellectual property

Except for third-party material identified as such, Tanner owns or licenses the website and its original text, design, code, images, trademarks, and other content. You may view the site, link to public pages, make good-faith quotations with attribution, use accessibility and personal archival tools, and exercise lawful fair-use or other statutory rights.

Without permission, you may not republish or commercially exploit substantial portions of the site, falsely suggest endorsement, remove authorship or rights notices, or use the content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the website to:

break the law, infringe rights, impersonate another person, or misrepresent affiliation;
gain unauthorized access or probe, disable, evade, or interfere with security or availability;
introduce malware or place an unreasonable technical burden on the site; or
perform burdensome automated extraction that disrupts the site or substitutes for the original publication.

Ordinary search-engine indexing, link previews, accessibility tools, and reasonable research use remain allowed.

5. External services

The website links to services Tanner does not control. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not necessarily imply endorsement, and Tanner is not responsible for third-party content, availability, transactions, or security.

6. Availability and disclaimers

The website is provided “as is” and “as available.” Tanner does not promise uninterrupted access, error-free content, compatibility, security against every threat, or permanent preservation of any page. To the fullest extent permitted by law, implied warranties are disclaimed. This does not exclude warranties or guarantees that cannot legally be waived.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tanner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from ordinary website use, and Tanner’s aggregate liability arising from the website will not exceed $100 USD.

These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, statutory violations, personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot be limited, or any other liability or remedy that cannot legally be waived or limited.

8. Disputes

Before filing a claim, you and Tanner are encouraged—but not required—to send a written notice describing the issue and allow 30 days for informal resolution. California law applies without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and courts located in Orange County, California are a non-exclusive venue, in each case subject to any mandatory consumer protections and forum rights in your location.

Nothing here blocks small-claims proceedings, payment-card chargebacks, urgent injunctive relief, required statutory notices, reports to regulators, or claims filed within an applicable limitation period. These terms do not require arbitration or waive a class-action right.

9. Changes and contact

Tanner may update these terms as the site or law changes. Material changes apply prospectively and will be identified by a new effective date and version.
