An experienced design partner for the work in front of you.
Sometimes you don't need another course, framework, or round of generic feedback. You need someone experienced who can get close to the work, ask the right questions, and help you make things stronger.
- Is this the right product direction?
- Does this portfolio show how you think?
- Is the interaction model clear?
- Does this presentation make the case clearly?
- Do the visuals and words support the idea?
- What is the most useful thing to do next?
I offer one-on-one design sessions for product designers, design leaders, founders, and software builders. Bring the work in front of you and we'll work through it together. Whether that's a product, portfolio, résumé, presentation, or hard design decision.
The problem can be strategic or tactical, early or nearly finished.
Every session is focused, practical, collaborative design help built around what you need to move forward.

What we can do together
You can bring almost anything related to design or how you work, including:
- Product strategy and deciding what to build and why
- Interaction and UX related to improving a flow, feature, or prototype
- Visual design for strengthening hierarchy, polish, and overall quality
- Copy and communication about making ideas clearer
- Portfolios and case studies including choosing the right story and framing it well
- Résumés and job materials that will present your experience with focus and credibility
- Presentations that require shaping the narrative, structure, and argument
- Design systems and working through patterns, structure, and scale
- Anything else. A design problem where you feel stuck, uncertain, or too close to the work
The best sessions are centered on real work. Not abstract advice or generic design theory. The actual thing you are trying to make better.
How it works
- Purchase
- Purchase one to five one-hour sessions at $250 each. Purchased sessions do not expire while I continue offering the service.
- Schedule
- After payment, use my Google Calendar booking page to schedule each session from the times currently available. Purchased sessions are normally separate. If you need a longer session, contact me and we can agree to combine them.
- Before
- You can send links, screenshots, prototypes, documents, notes, or a short explanation of what you are working through.
- During
- We'll work directly on what you bring. That might mean questioning a product direction, restructuring a portfolio story, improving a screen or flow, sharpening the language, or deciding what to do next.
- After
- I'll send a short written summary of the most important takeaways, recommendations, and next actions.
What you'll get
You will leave with a clearer understanding of what is working, what is getting in the way, and what to do next.
Depending on what you bring, that might include:
- A sharper direction for a product or body of work
- A clearer story for a portfolio, case study, or presentation
- Specific improvements to an interaction, screen, or prototype
- Stronger visual design, copy, or communication
- Better framing for your experience and résumé
- Help identifying weak points in the work
- Better language for explaining your design decisions
- A more coherent path forward
My goal is not to give you a score or a generic checklist. It is to help you see the work more clearly and make it stronger.
Who this is for
This is especially useful for:
- Product designers who want an experienced partner for a difficult decision
- Designers refining a portfolio, case study, résumé, or presentation
- Designers strengthening their product thinking, craft, or communication
- Solo designers who do not have regular access to a senior design partner
- Founders and indie developers who care about product quality and polish
- Design leaders who want an outside perspective on a system, narrative, or direction
- Software builders who know something feels off but cannot yet name why
You do not need a perfect prototype, polished deck, or finished case study. In fact, the messier middle of the work is often the best place to get help.
My background
I'm a product designer with more than 20 years of experience designing software across consumer products, enterprise tools, creative systems, internal platforms, autonomous systems, and complex operational software.
I've worked at companies including Anduril, Netflix, Gem, Lyft, Atlassian, and Facebook/Meta, designing everything from large-scale product systems and internal tools to creator platforms, design systems, autonomous transportation software, and AI-adjacent workflows.
Across that work, the through-line has been helping teams and individuals make better decisions about what they are building, how it should work, how it should feel, and how to communicate the thinking behind it.
That is what I bring into these sessions: experienced judgment, thoughtful questions, direct feedback, and a practical eye for product, craft, and communication.
Purchase a session

A note on fit
This works best when you have something concrete to discuss.
That could be a product, prototype, portfolio, résumé, presentation, design system, workflow, feature idea, or a specific design decision you are trying to reason through.
This is not a done-for-you design service or open-ended career coaching. The session is centered on a real piece of work or a specific decision.
If you want a thoughtful design partner to help you work through a product, portfolio, presentation, or design challenge, it probably is.
